You Should AVOID Aluserv Because:
A buyer with the alias ” Anonymous ” had the following experience:
- Quality Rating: 3 = (1 is poor, 5 is excellent)
- Value for Money: 2 = (1 is poor, 5 is excellent)
- They expected to pay €18000 but instead they paid €24000!
- This business’ affordability qualifies as “Requires a Loan or FAT Pocket”
- Did they find a cheaper or better alternative? = YES (If YES, see suggestion below)
What was Anonymous’s experience with Aluserv, and what does Anonymous suggest?
We paid for aluminium apertures from Aluserv for 4 apartments. Deposit was paid and one would assume that this locks in the price on the contract. Due to many reasons, the works were delayed and the prices of some material went up, which is reasonable. But, what we didn’t expect was for the price quoted for FOUR (4) apartments, of around 24,000 Euro, now ONLY covered the costs of the apertures of 3 apartments and NOT 4!
A lot of back and forth revealed that the price of material went up, and some glass was already ordered, they cannot do anything (how sad!), even though we never gave the go ahead to start production since we gave explicit instructions by when material was needed. Some things, were not in the original quote – maybe a piece of glass was changed to laminated, which drove the cost up, understandably, but some things such as insect screens, were added by us but the funny thing is that a window screen for a huge balcony sliding door (2.5m x 2m) costs the same as a one for a washroom (0.5m x 0.75m) window, approx. 100 euro per screen, multiply this by around 10 small windows and 3 large apertures and 3 doors… and you get 1600 euro extra for just like that!
As a summary, we paid for 48 apertures, but got 36 due to cost increases AFTER paying deposit to lock the price in! Shameful!
There are many other companies that do aluminium apertures, avoid Aluserv at all costs!
